The firm's expertise on a wide range of subjects gives clients the broadest possible range of services. With help from Wermer, Rogers, Doran & Ruzon, clients can achieve sound financial management and maximize their profitability and their potential. With this goal in mind, the firm has designed, installed, or modified accounting systems for government agencies, nonprofit organizations, and commercial entities.

The firm realizes the importance of cost efficient services. That is why we use an IBM AS/400 and a Novell network. Our in house systems provide clients with financial statements, accounts receivable statements, depreciation schedules, tax return preparation and planning, tax research as well as automated workpaper preparation. Also data is imported and exported between our in house systems and client systems.

Our computer consultants perform system and software installations, modify software and provide continuing support for certain computer systems and software. We feel that because of the computer explosion we must all become more knowledgeable in their proper use. This attitude has permeated Wermer, Rogers, Doran & Ruzon. Our professional accounting staff has been trained to use laptop PC's and specialized audit workpaper programs and spreadsheet programs.

In addition to their professional service, staff members are also interested in serving other aspects of the community - business, political, educational, religious, and social. AUDIT SERVICE
Accounting has been called "the language of business," a way to communicate financial facts and figures. Many accounting firms are experts in accounting techniques, conventions, and principles. But Wermer, Rogers, Doran & Ruzon is unique in the ability to help clients apply the facts and figures to their growth and potential. Although our prime service is an audit, the main goal at Wermer, Rogers, Doran & Ruzon is to maximize client profits and minimize liabilities.

Whenever possible, the firm makes auditing more economical with maximum use of the computer. Sophisticated techniques assure clients of the best and most cost-effective auditing available. A major advantage of the firm's audit is our ability to document weaknesses in the client's internal and external financial functions and to offer suggestions for their improvement. Both large and small clients, whether government-or-privately-related, benefit from this type of audit.

MANAGEMENT and ACCOUNTING SERVICES
Often Wermer, Rogers, Doran & Ruzon will undertake management functions for companies which do not have internal controller capacity. In this function, partners and staff provide advisory services in areas of accounting systems, budgets, and internal reviews. They prepare client interim statements and aid in implementing financial controls, budgeting, and cash management.

Monthly or quarterly accounting services, including preparation of tax returns, lets the firm help clients establish sound financial management. TRAINING PROGRAMS
All members of Wermer Rogers, Doran & Ruzon continually strive to attain the most current expertise available in the financial field. Continuing Professional Education (CPE), internal reviews, and state or national development courses are a few of the ways in which members of the firm improve their expertise.

Continuing Professional Education provides the staff with updates on accounting and auditing standards. Each member of the firm attains established yearly CPE hours. The firm pays for 100% of any approved CPE course.

Our own staff training program offers a thorough mixture of financial updates, specialized service, and expertise. Periodic internal reviews provide assurance that the firm's highest standards of professional practice are maintained at all times. State and national programs are excellent resources for expanding professional skills. Additionally, partners and staff are encouraged to take part in professional organizations, to write for professional publications, and to serve on professional seminars.
